Understanding Autism – A guide for Parents and Grandparents

What is the talk about?

This is the opportunity to hear an overview of Autism from an Autistic person! Amanda also has three Autistic children and will be able to share insight and understanding, encouraging you to look at Autism positively and sharing ideas to help support your Autistic child.

About Amanda Cook:

Amanda is an experienced teacher with over 15 years in education, specialising in challenging behaviour and Autism. She is CEO, Founder and Director, of Autism South East, supporting the Autistic community with talks, groups and activities, and founder of The Autistic Teacher sharing insight on Facebook to 32 thousand followers. Amanda is a trainer and speaker on Autism, a full-time primary school teacher, a mum to four children, three diagnosed Autistic, and is diagnosed Autistic herself. Amanda was winner at the Professional Autism Awards 2018. Amanda will talk about autistic girls, the way that autism is sometimes internalised and the challenges that this brings.
