DESCRIPTION:What is the talk about?\nAll the information we receive about t
 he world comes through our senses.\nIn some people\, the senses do not pro
 cess information as they should and the brain ends up like a “traffic ja
 m” of information instead of a steady flow of traffic. Learning occurs w
 hen we receive accurate sensory information\, process it in our brain and 
 use it to organize our behaviours and activities at home and school.\nCori
 nna Laurie\, specialist occupational therapist\, explores:\n• Our senses
 \, and how they can affect behaviour\n• Strategies to reduce the impact 
 of sensory issues\n• Strategies to support children to develop their mot
 or skills\nAbout Corinna:\nCorinna qualified as an Occupational Therapist 
 in 1993 and has specialised in the area of sensory processing disorders fo
 r the last 25 years.  She is skilled in a variety of paediatric evaluatio
 n tools and treatment approaches\, including Sensory Integration\, Therape
 utic Listening® and Neurodevelopmental techniques.  She also has a diplo
 ma in Aromatherapy and Massage.  Corinna is the author of “Sensory &amp
 \; Motor Strategies” an NAS publication. This book further expands on th
 e content of this session and provides a practical resource for anyone dea
 ling with children experiencing Sensory Processing Disorders.\nCOVID Preca
