For many years Autistic girls have been misunderstood and underdiagnosed but now research is catching up and the voices of Autistic girls are being heard. This is the opportunity to hear about how Autism can present in girls from someone who has an Autistic daughter and is Autistic herself.

Mandy has over 20 years teaching experience specialising in Autism and challenging behaviour and is currently the Lead Teacher for a large Autism provision in Kent. Mandy has four children of her own, three are diagnosed Autistic, one not yet diagnosed and she is Autistic herself. She runs the Facebook page ‘The Autistic Teacher’ with 180,000 followers and is Founder and CEO of Autism South East, supporting Autistic children and adults together with her husband Tim, who has been working with Autistic Children for over 30 years. Mandy creates resources to help others understand Autism which are shared globally and has been public speaking for over 5 years sharing information and insights to help the Autistic community, families and friends.
