DESCRIPTION:What is the talk about?\nGirls with an autistic profile are too
  frequently overlooked as shy\, highly strung or odd. They present late fo
 r consideration of a diagnosis and are too often missed altogether.\nThis 
 presentation explores these issues and others specific to being female and
  autistic. Further it considers the rising voice of autistic females advoc
 ating for change.\nAbout Amanda Cook:\nAmanda has 16 years teaching experi
 ence in mainstream schools and has particular experience with challenging 
 behaviour and autism. Amanda has four children of her own\, three are auti
 stic and she is autistic herself. She runs the Facebook page ‘The Autist
 ic Teacher’ and is director and founder of Autism South East. Amanda has
  been helping autistic people and their families for over 8 years and won 
 a national Professional Autism Award in 2018 for her efforts.\n\nAmanda wi
 ll talk about autistic girls\, the way that autism is sometimes internalis
 ed and the challenges that this brings.\nInformation Regarding Parking:\n
