SUMMARY:Accessing Public Services Toolkit Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The aim of the workshop is to support families who are encounte
 ring difficulties in relation to the provision of health\, social care and
  education support services. The workshop isn’t about giving legal advic
 e or solving individual issues\, but about general strategies that parents
  can use to get the services that they need for their child and family. Th
 is session is aimed at up skilling you to make stronger cases and to chall
 enge decisions when dealing with statutory bodies. By the end of Cerebra
 ’s workshop\, you will be able to:\n\n 	Identify commonly occurring prob
 lems facing families accessing services and recognise different types of d
 ispute\n 	Come up with problem-solving approaches to these problems\n 	Use
  a number of template letters when corresponding with public bodies\n\nThe
  workshop includes working on case studies relating to direct payments\, r
 espite care\, Disabled Facilities Grants\, residential placements and scho
 ol transport.\n\n Free parking is available on-site. No smoking of tobacco
  on-site.\n\n It is imperative that you pre-book for this workshop ASAP\, 
 as without sufficient interest the session will unfortunately need to be c
